Geeky man looking into the camera

Welcome fellow writers...

You have probably found your way here because you also have an interest in all things green. That’s a good start. If you are looking for fame, you are also in the right place. We have a popular website that is getting a steady stream of hits - continuing to grow by the minute (OK, maybe by the hour!). However if you are looking for fortune you might have come to the wrong place.

We are a new site and very picky about advertisers so we are not yet raking in the big bucks. Currently we prefer to keep our small amount of extra cash for our in-house writers.

That’s the bad news. The good news is we will make every effort to showcase your work as attractively as possible, with great photos, a byline, author bio and a link to your website and/or contact details. Copyright remains with the author. Oh, did we mention you get to be part of the coolest community online? An international green community that is actively working to make a difference.

Please don't send us any attachments - it is far too early in our relationship for attachments.

Here’s the deal

We accept well-written, well-researched articles on any international eco-subject. We do prefer articles to be as wide reaching as possible. By this we mean, we prefer an article on European eco-coffin makers or the negative environmental ramifications of growing bananas in South America rather than an article on how your Grandpa is making his own shoelaces from hemp to cut down on greenhouse gases (although the hemp shoelace thing is kind of a good idea…). We do like a dash of irreverence.

Picky stuff

Of course we prefer to have original articles, but it is OK if you have published your article somewhere else. We ask, as a courtesy, that you let us know when and where articles were previously published. We insist that all facts, figures and quotes have proper attribution. We will check materials and will refuse any articles with inaccuracies. We prefer feature or magazine style writing. However if you are a kick-ass essayist, blogger or newspaper journalist, we also welcome your submissions.

Please take a look around the site to get an idea of the style of writing and subject matter we prefer. Though we are always willing to try something new, at least once anyway.

Now what?

Drop us a line and let us know what sort of articles you are interested in submitting. Please include some interesting information about who you are and where you live. Not a resume or CV, just the juicy details you think we need to know. We'll take a look at your query and get back to you within about 7-14 days. Please don't send us any attachments - we won’t open them until we get to know you a bit better. It is far too early in our relationship for attachments.

At any time, please drop us a line. We are here to answer your questions and always look forward to connecting with more eco-writers/warriors.
