Captain Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherd have left an Australian port to film the third season of Animal Planet’s hit television documentary program - Whale Wars. The new season of the popular show promises to be just as thrilling and controversial as the past two seasons.
Whale Wars documents the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as they wage an aggressive battle to stop Japanese ships from hunting whales for ‘research’ in the Antarctic Ocean.
Season three will see the addition of the environmentally-friendly, wave-piercing, speed-record-breaking, Earthrace boat (rechristened the Ady Gil). The Ady Gil can submarine up to 23-feet underwater and travel over 13,000 nautical miles (24,000kms) on one tank of fuel. The Ady Gil is not the only surprise Watson has up his sleeve so tune in and see what is in store for the Japanese whalers.
