Support Wild Tiger Populations

We are at an unprecedented time in history where we can literally, in between trips to the mall, eating at fast food restaurants and catching up on celebrity news, watch a magnificent wild animal population disappear. The wild tiger population dropped 96% in the last twenty years from 100,000 to the estimated 3,200 still left in the wild today. Today there are more tigers living in captivity in the USA than there are tigers living in the wild in the entire world.

On the black market a tiger is worth 10 times more dead than alive. Parts from wild tigers are preferred over parts from captive tigers in traditional medicines and therefore fetch the highest prices. Any increase in demand caused by any sourcing of tiger parts (including U.S. domestic, captive-bred tigers) could threaten the conservation of wild tigers.

Sign the petition to support better regulations to protect captive tigers in the U.S. and prevent the increased demand for tiger products that put wild populations at risk.

These magnificent animals will soon disappear if man doesn't stop killing them for ridiculous ideas. Let them live out their natural lives in peace.
