Ordinary clothespins become extraordinary works of art in the hands of Argentina-based Normal Studio. Originally planned as a one-off installation, the Tender Project is based on using everyday objects, like the humble clothespin, to create interesting forms.

“By placing a large number of clothespins on a tight mesh, the weight of the clothespins generates, on its own, a complex surface known as a Hyperbolic Paraboloid, a geometric shape of sensual simplicity,” explains Martin Huberman from Normal Studio in a Yatzer.com interview.

Since the success of the first exhibit, the Tender Project has grown and evolved with new installations, a series of lamps, and a Tender DIY art kit from the Museum of Latin American Art.
