New recycled kinetic sculptures by California artist Nemo Gould reveal the artist’s continued exploration of using found materials with an increasing component of domestic debris.

Entitled Wildwood, Homunculus and Acoutapus, the sculptures include a wide range of materials ranging from teakettles to voltage meters and Ukulele parts.

Wildwood includes recycled parts from a car transmission, teakettle, chair, headboard, shelf, clogs and a motorcycle exhaust. Homunculus is constructed from a voltage meter, radio tuner, lamp parts, candlestick parts, table legs, shoe forms, door hardware, vacuum tube, tobacco pipe, thermostat parts, Ukulele knobs and LED lights. Acoutapus is made with parts from an acoustic guitar, rocking chair, chair, salad bowl, beads, light fixtures, and brass screws.
