Ripped plastic bags are upcycled into an environmental art project called Fools Gold by illustrator and designer Barclay Douglas.

Exploring the ramifications of plastic bags on the environment, more than sixty plastic bags were ripped up and painted gold for the project. The resulting piece explores how the plastic “…was once consumed, trashed, and now resurrected.”
