Although we are not fans of zoos or animals in captivity, an exhibit at the Philadelphia Zoo entitled Creatures of Habitat, a Gazillion-Piece Animal Adventure by renowned Lego artist Sean Kenney, caught our eye.

The Creatures of Habitat exhibit features over thirty-four animals including tamarinds, polar bears, snakes and frogs all made from Lego, and is designed to raise awareness about endangered animals and their diminishing habitat.

Although having an exhibit of plastic animals in a zoo of captive animals does seem like a stretch to be even remotely green, the Creatures of Habitat introduces the possibility that people may be interested in visiting zoos that offer alternatives to live captive animals, as well as pointing out the human impact on animals from habitat loss.
