Hummers, dream homes, chandeliers and yachts. Discarded lottery tickets are transformed into large-scale faux luxury items that might have become a reality if any of the lottery tickets had actually won the jackpot.
The Ghost of a Dream exhibit, from artists Lauren Was and Adam Eckstrom, both graduates from the Rhode Island School of Design, highlight through their recycled lottery ticket art, the fleeting and ethereal nature of hoping to win the lottery. The exhibit is comprised entirely of discarded lottery tickets and found objects.
