Carrots, pumpkins, lettuce, leeks and celery are just a few of the vegetables that Vienna’s Vegetable Orchestra uses to make music. The unusual group of musicians uses instruments made from various fresh vegetables to create their unique sound.

Founded in 1998, the orchestra is comprised of thirteen band members who travel the world with their unusual brand of music. Described as a blend of contemporary music, beat-oriented house, experimental electronic and free jazz, the Vegetable Orchestra continually expands their repertoire based on the type of vegetable instruments available.
