A controversial depiction of the senselessness of war is highlighted in this work of urban art known as the “Wall of Brainless Soldiers” from famed graffiti artist Blu, created for the festival “Draw The Line” in Campobasso, Italy. In the stunning outdoor mural, soldiers are shown lining up and, while waiting; they have their hair cut and brains removed to allow their helmets to fit in preparation for the act of war.
Regardless of your feelings on supporting the military or not, unquestionably war takes a terrible toll on soldiers, civilians, the environment and costs an immoral amount of money to keep in operation. The Iraqi War alone, to date, is estimated to have cost more than US$790 billion dollars (€553 billion). The Afghanistan War is estimated to have cost more than US$441 billion dollars (€309 billion).
