Paperfold Lamps, by Swedish artists Fredrik Kjellgren, Daniel Andersson, Joakim Kaminsky, Ola Frödell, are bright funky lights made from paper.
“The different parts of the lamp could easily be disassembled and recycled, the paper and steel. The product is shipped as a flat package,” explains architect and designer Fredrik Kjellgren. “The paper used for this product will be sourced from clean paper mills. The light bulbs will either be in LED or a luminous low energy light source depending on the model.”
The artists are also interested in the possibility of reusing their design sketches or drawings to make innovative lamps, and make the products from waste materials thereby creating an upcycling effect rather than down-cycling products to waste.
The Paperfold series includes six lamps that come in black, cyan, magenta and amber.
