Mark your calendars as it is almost time for the hottest green event of the summer season – the solar-powered Organic Islands Festival and Sustainability Expo on July 10th and 11th in Victoria, British Columbia. Now in its sixth year, this thriving sustainability festival will feature more than 150 leading green businesses, visionaries and activists at Canada’s largest outdoor environmental expo.
This year’s festival theme will focus on Green Buildings and Homes, Sustainable Transportation, The Zero Mile Diet and Wild Foods. In addition to the wealth of exhibitors, the Organic Islands Festival features amazing guest speakers, green technology demonstrations, delicious cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and a fun-filled kids’ zone – all spread over ten acres at the magnificent Glendale Gardens and Woodland on Vancouver Island.
