Ask The Greenius!

If you’re anything like I am (and I hope, for your sake, you’re not) you spend sleepless nights worrying about the state of our planet and your impact on it. And then you worry that you’re not getting enough sleep to actually make sound decisions and that you’re hastening your own demise. And then you think to yourself, well, if I’m dead, I can’t really have a negative impact on the planet anymore.

But being dead hardly seems like a viable alternative, nor a very fun one. And so, you go back to figuring out what you can do to mitigate your presence. And though many are able to not sweat the small stuff, I’m not so lucky.

I sweat it all, small, large and in between.

But, as a journalist, I have access to answers. Or rather, to the people with the expertise to provide answers. Answers that, in an effort to save you the same sleepless nights, I want to share with you.

And so…The Greenius was born.

The Greenius aims to rescue you from eco-angst. To tell you whether you should trade in aluminum foil for waxed paper. Whether your dog has a larger carbon footprint than your own. Whether it’s better to buy the organic fair-trade apple from Fiji or the local one from the market. Is a hybrid truly better than a gas-powered economy car? Can my hamburger actually be easier on the planet than a veggie burger? Can you compost cat poop? Is it possible to avoid GMOs in processed food? What is the concern with GMOs anyway. And…well…what’s on your mind?

The Greenius is here to answer your questions – big or small. We’ll sweat it together.
