Recycled dumpster swimming pools are an ingenious way to bring swimming spots to hot urban areas. The brainchild of Macro-Sea, the project uses recycled construction dumpsters (with liners & sand bottoms) to provide ready-made guerrilla swimming pools.
Modeled after the original dumpster pools created in Georgia by Curtis Crowe from the band Pylons, these recent party pools were created by David Belt, Alix Feinkind and Jocko Weyland of Macro-Sea in under 12 days for July 4th, 2009 in Brooklyn.
