Created by UK design student Jack O’Reilly, the Urban Farming and Media Interactive Networks (Urban F.@.m.i.n.) combines vertical farming with a television station. Although at first the pairing seems both incongruent and unusual, imagine the educational possibilities for innovative indoor farms with onsite television program generation?

The City of Manchester-based Urban F.@.m.i.n. design addresses growing concerns about urban food security with towers and pods housing hydroponic vegetables and fruits, produced with water sourced from local canals.

Growing concerns about the lack of quality television programming would also be addressed via a continuous stream of farming activities coverage.
