Trees, butterflies and birds created from recycled bottles and cement decorate the elegant and whimsical recycled bottle garden retreat at the Airlie Gardens in North Carolina.

The colorful bottle building was built in 2004 by Virginia Wright-Frierson and is the centrepiece of the sculpture-filled Minnie Evans Sculpture Garden.

The Airlie Gardens offer 67 acres of public greenspace nestled along the community’s picturesque Bradley Creek.
