With changes in the economy, numerous construction sites have been left in limbo in New York City. Woods Bagot Architecture & Design has come up with an innovative problem to the stalled sites – add a sustainable, 100% recyclable, inflatable Iceberg.

Created from steel, and featuring clear polycarbonate panels with inflatable ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene), the ultra-lightweight structures are designed to be easily transported, constructed and disassembled.

Rather than leave stalled construction sites unused, the Woods Bagot’s ‘cradle to grave’ modular Icebergs provide architectural placeholders until builders/developers are able to continue with their projects.
