Designed to also connect surrounding neighborhoods and the railway station, the umbrella installation offers a colorful venue for both commerce and community. The Centro Abierto de Actividades Ciudadanas (CAAC) project is modeled after an urban forest with the brightly colored umbrellas varying in height and size. Equipped with lights, the installation also provides a beautiful display in the evenings, with the nighttime illumination allowing for continuous use of this clever urban space.
