Inspired by pyramids and Mayan culture, a solar powered residential and office development concept design in Mérida, Mexico, offers a modernized sustainable rendition of an iconic structure.
Aptly dubbed the Pyramid Project, the LAR designed mixed-use development features terraces and tapering elements to blend into the surrounding environment and offer a Mayan symbiosis with nature.

Each terrace features lush greenery and rainwater capture, easing demand on air conditioning and making this thoroughly modern pyramid a sustainable addition to the Yucatán Peninsula. The façade also includes high tech solar panels for power production.
