The Mobile Mini House is a design solution for providing small housing options for the modern day traveler. Originally conceived for traveling telecommuters, the Mobile Mini House was designed for quick and easy set-up by a lone traveler.
The innovative expandable mobile home concept opens up when stationary to provide separate areas designed for living-room space, kitchen and office space. The open space concept of the design allows telecommuters to enjoy their surroundings while working.
The 1950s American trailers inspired the external shape of the Mobile Mini House. When fully deployed, the futuristic design makes a reference to the modernist Chemosphere house built by American architect John Lautner in 1960 in Los Angeles, California.
The Mobile Mini House design was created by Stephanie Bellanger, Amaury Watine, François Gustin and David Dethoor as a student project for the Superior Institute of Design of Valenciennes in France.
