Some people blast through rock to build their house or clear-cut entire forests to make space for their McMansion. Others work with the natural elements that are already in place.
One builder in the Nas montanhas de Fafe in Portugal decided to make his house fit with the existing elements on the property by incorporating enormous boulders into the design.
Aside from the boulders, the façade of the house includes rock walls and the interior of the house also incorporates natural local elements like rough cut wooden furniture, stairs and railings.
