After winning first prize for a passive house design contest, Swedish architect Kjellgren Kaminsky will see his design for four apartments built in the city of Malmö.

Passive houses are extremely well insulated buildings that are largely heated by the energy already present in the building - people and household equipment generate a lot of heat energy.

The Salongen 35 passive house development includes four apartments built with FSC wood, solar panels, green roofs, micro parks, energy efficient appliances, water conservation measures and green electricity options.
