Architect Andrés Duany has created a waterproof prefabricated emergency housing structure that can be flat-pack shipped to the earthquake torn Haiti. The 8'2" x 8'2" x 19'8" (2.44m x 2.44m x 5.8m) Core House is easy to set up and accommodates eight adults in cozy conditions.

The architect still needs sponsorship to manufacture, transport and install the emergency housing in Haiti and is working in conjunction with InnoVida, an American manufacturing company that has already pledged to donate 1000 small homes (155sq.ft. - 300sq.ft., 14.4m2 – 27.9m2) to Haiti.
