Solar flares, earthquakes, global tsunamis and nuclear war are just a few of the catastrophes set to influence the future real estate market in the USA.
Although fear mongering may be an unusual approach to sell real estate, American-based Vivos is utilizing the possibility of disasters to sell space at luxurious underground survival complexes at more than 120 secret locations in the USA.

“Where would you go if you had three days notice,” asks the Vivos Project founder Robert Vicino. “The government has shelters, they just don’t have them for you and me.”

Designed for long-term off the grid living, the Vivos Project underground installations are located in top-secret locales that only members can access. There are 200 spaces at each 20,000 sq.ft (1,858 sq.m) underground complex. Each underground bunker features private living quarters, community areas, fully stocked kitchens and emergency and dental care facilities.
A space in the bunker sells for roughly US$50,000 (€36,600) and the company has received more than 1000 applications. However, bucking up the fee isn’t the only criteria, each applicant is evaluated based on how they can contribute to the Vivos shelter community to ensure the greatest chance of long-term survival for the entire group.
