Designed to stimulate the senses of seniors, the brightly colored and wacky Reversible Destiny Lofts by New York-based architects Arakawa & Gins (self-described Architects Against Death, with the motto - “We Have Decided Not To Die”), are the polar opposite of conservative restful living space for the elderly.

Located in Tokyo, these personal adult playgrounds utilize bright colours, uneven floors, difficult exits, and irregular shaped curtains and doorways to force residents to use imagination, cognitive ability, physical strength, flexibity and balance as components of their everyday life.
