Metal shipping containers are upcycled into affordable off-the-grid solar powered LEED Cabins by American builder Daniel Sokol.
For less than US$15,000 (€11,250), the shipping containers are customized into small-sized, eco-friendly homes with green features that include gray water systems, solar panels and composting systems. Interiors can be finished with LED lighting, FSC flooring, energy efficient windows, non-toxic and recycled materials.
