With urban real estate becomingly increasingly expensive and the number of homeless individuals increasing, it is becoming more and more difficult to find a place to call your own, which is why artist Gregory Kloehn designed the Dumpster House.

“If I could put everything a home has inside a dumpster and then maybe make it nice enough that someone would might want to live in it,” explains the artist.

Kloehn turned a trash dumpster into a liveable home by incorporating a gas grill, an electrical system, a 6 gallon (22.7liter) water storage system, windows in an extendable roof, a toaster.

The cozy little dumpster, comes in a forest green color and can be upgraded and outfitted with hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, not to mention a toilet tucked underneath the sofa seat.
