Canadian Liberal MP Justin Trudeau has stirred up some controversy with his Christmas card depicting his wife and two children wearing coyote trimmed coats with the entire family swaddled in a coyote fur blanket.
The seasonal card, sent to his Montreal constituents, includes the message: "During this holiday season, let's celebrate what's most important by surrounding ourselves with love and warmth”.
The fur-covered family card, which seems like a misstep for the normally astute politician, has raised the ire of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) who criticized Trudeau for supporting the fur industry.
Trudeau has responded by saying he didn’t intend to court controversy, but he is glad to “…support both Canadian products and sustainable fur”.

How many animals are killed by moving vehicles each and every day? Take your money and invest it in fences on every roads and highways that exist in our country if you really want to protect them! Have you ever seen how a pregnant doe(female deer) suffers when it is attacked by a pack of wolves in an open area? it is the most cruel thing I've ever seen! I felt like killing them all but told myself that this is nature taking it's course. You will never understand the balance that is required to insure the survival of all species! Our government looks after our natural resources in a calculated way to maintain the balance that is needed which you can't get your little heads around ! Would you prefer that all furs were destroyed instead of making good use of them?

I'm not in favor of killing baby seal but come on Coyotes....which cost us tax payer every time they kill livestock and endanger our food source!!!!
So I believe that Justin probably made his decision based on this......do not forget....THIS COUNTRY WAS BUILT ON THE FUR TRADE!!!!!!!

Justin, just ignore all the negativeness of all the unhappy people who seem to have no love left for anybody.
Wishing you and your family all the best, have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year,

If people are concerned about humane treatment of animals, how about offering your services to a human suffering from an incurable disease and just needs some help. Not a cheque, but actual physical help.
When you offer help unconditionally, your rewards are noticed. There are so many things to be concerned about, but if we are truly one people in this country, should we not be all treated the same, no labels of being native, or distinct, but one people, not multcultures living their own heritage in various parts of large cities, but all together, multicultural, living as one, together, free in one country, CANADA.

What an idiotic comment!
I think Justin Trudeau has lost much of HIS credibility in Canada.

They are also FAKE.
Animal furs are generated on circulating carbon.
And they are REAL.
They are also BEAUTIFUL.
They are also part of aboriginal and Canadian HERITAGE.
Canada was built on animals, and that progress should continue.
Save the planet! Stop global warming! Boycott petro-fake-furs!
