Cameron Diaz, one of the original green celebs, recently used her Marie Claire interview to raise awareness about saving Momma Earth.
In the July issue of Marie Claire Magazine, on sale this week, Diaz talks about helping the earth out with a PR campaign and while making a low budget documentary with Marie Claire Executive Editor Lucy Kaylin and various crew.
"The planet needs a publicist," says the popular green actress, who shot a short environmental video where she talks to regular people about becoming more conscientious about the earth.
"I was like, I'm going to get a camera, and I'm going to mobile-home it across the country, and I'm just going to find out what people are thinking. What would it take for the common person to become engaged?” she explains in the Marie Claire interview.
In the documentary she explains that if people knew where resources like water and air come from, they might be better stewards of the earth.
“It worries me that we are in danger of becoming extinct from this planet,” she explains.
