American actress Drew Barrymore is gearing up for the movie based on the best selling book Freeing The Whales by Tom Rose. The film explores the story of the three California whales trapped under the ice near Barrow, Alaska and the international rescue effort that included activists, the military, oil executives and a Russian icebreaker.
Barrymore is set to play the main character of a Greenpeace activist in the story. Filming begins on September 16th, 2010.
