The sixth annual Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Party is scheduled for February 19th with performances by Sheryl Crow and Gavin Rossdale. A roster of eco-celebrities will be co-hosting and attending the event. Co-hosts include: Orlando Bloom, Penelope Cruz, Marisa Tomei, Kate Bosworth, Rosario Dawson, Dominic Monaghan, Heather Graham, Damien Rice, Arianna Huffington, Sebastian Copeland, Lyn and Norman Lear, Roland Emmerich and Rhona Mitra.
The event will celebrate the launch of Global Green’s “National Green Schools” initiative, utilizing the annual event to draw attention to the critical need to build and modernize schools. The party also kicks-off Global Green’s Red Carpet/Green Cars campaign, where celebrities arrive at the red carpet in fuel-efficient vehicles instead of gas-guzzling limousines.
