Honda’s Advanced Design Studio, in Pasadena, California, has created the Honda Air powered by compressed air. The Honda Air drive power comes from compressed air controlled via a pneumatic regulator system that is also partly recharged by a turbo vacuum pump.

The no-doors, four seater vehicle uses vegetable-based polymer panels for the chassis and the novel power system, Honda Air weighs in at a super low 800lb (363kg) empty weight.

The fuel tank, which is just a compressed air reservoir, can be filled at a gas station tire filler or a regular home air compressor. It is expected to have a 100 mile (162km) range between fill-ups.
