Wind Solar Street Lights

British Urban Green Energy has come up with an innovative design solution to illuminate urban streets and harvest energy at the same time. The Hybrid Wind Solar Street Lamp is designed to provide sustainable lighting solutions while also capturing both wind and solar energy.

If you think that a streetlight is in a permanent position, but only provides a useful service for 40% of the time. British Urban Green Energy’s solution is to mount existing street poles with their Hybrid Wind Solar Street Lamps and utilize the poles 100% of the time while generating a theoretical maximum of 380W of power, which is both efficient and sustainable.

The poles have both solar panels and wind turbines. Excess energy harvested is stored in batteries and used in the LED street lighting.

Very pretty very sexy but what a waste of thousands of dollars that could be spent on simple energy efficiency to produce more savings at a
Significantly lower cost with firm not variable savings.
