For the professional on the go, Sanyo has come up with a portable solar panel that provides green power while you are on the move.

The book-sized Eneloop Portable Solar Panel allows you to charge a cellphone, iPod, laptop, shaver or any other small gadget via a USB connection. The Eneloop Portable Solar Panel is used in conjunction with the Eneloop Mobile Booster where the lithium ion batteries store the solar energy. The joint weight of the two devices is about 15 ounces (0.9lb or 0.43kg).

Sanyo explains that the single panel, after approximately one hour of generating solar power under fair-weather conditions, can charge a USB-charge enabled cell phone enough to talk for approx. 20 minutes. A twin panel version gives 40 minutes of talk time with the same charging conditions.

The Eneloop Portable Solar Panel has a small hook so the panels can be hung in the window to catch the rays.

Currently for sale in Japan.
