The Blood Lamp by Mike Thompson.

What if energy came at a cost to an individual? This is the question proposed by Dutch designer Mike Thompson with his new project Blood Lamp. In order to work, the user must break the top off, prick or cut their finger until blood comes out and then mix their blood with a tablet inside the lamp to power the simple light. The Blood Lamp can only be used once, forcing people to rethink how precious energy is.
