The SonUmbra light parasol offers shade by day and operates as a stunning light emitting tree at night. The elegant and functional lights have solar cells embedded in their canopies that gather the solar energy in the day.
Designed by London-based Loop.pH, the solar lights are ideal for remote locations that lack electricity or other light-creating energy sources.
As people approach or pass by the SonUmbra, the solar trees create a symphony of light and sound that encourages people to participate in the installation. The light emitting fabric of the umbrella is comprised of a filigree of electroluminescent fibers illustrating the visitor’s location.
