The Hexicon offshore wind power generation plant.

Trust Swedish ingenuity to come up with the ultimate in floating offshore wind power generation plants. Dubbed the Hexicon due to its unconventional turbine formation, the 360m (1181ft) diameter platform can accommodate seven to eight large turbines, and is designed to generate 40MW of renewable wind power.

The offshore Hexicon, equipped with a Fagerdala Hull-System, utilizes a central hub to operate the turbines, resulting in an estimated 50-60 years where the innovative system will remain largely maintenance free.

Designed to be constructed offshore and assembled onsite, the Hexicon allows for the addition or upgrade of more turbines, as well as wave power generation systems.
