In a bid to raise awareness about the importance of alternative energy, and demonstrate that wind energy is a thing of beauty, French artist Patrick Raynaud reconfigured an existing wind generator in Germany. Covering the turbine with strobe and string lights, the wind turbine creates a series of light configurations based on the flow of energy through the turbine.
The creative work was commissioned by Hanover’s Expo-Region Climate Protection Programme, the wind turbine is located just outside of Hamburg, Germany.
