German artist Horst Glasker’s AERO_ART windmill installation clearly demonstrates that wind turbines don’t have to be blight on the horizon. In fact, they can serve as bright and even funky additions to both the urban environment and the countryside.

Glasker believes his rainbow colored wind turbines can also operate as symbols of a creative and green progressive economy.

“These big, colourful generators change attitudes, for they will generate not only power but an ‘emotional mantle’ and an enormously positive acceptance in those who live or work near them or are simply passer-bys," he explains.
