Husqvarna, the world's largest producer of lawn mowers has recently released a hybrid robotic lawnmower. The new Husqvarna Automower™ Solar Hybrid combines solar power and electricity technology.

Designed and developed in Sweden, Automower™ Solar Hybrid is targeting Husqvarna customers who want to minimize their impact on the environment, but still want to enjoy a professional looking garden (Can’t have an unkempt lawn – what would the neighbors think?).

Automower™ Solar Hybrid builds on Husqvarna's previous versions of smart robotic mowers and the more than 50,000 people worldwide who are currently using the Husqvarna Automower™.

Husqvarna is the world's largest producer of lawn mowers, chainsaws and portable petrol-powered garden equipment such as trimmers and blowers. Each thing that Husqvarna can do to reduce the use of petrol-powered garden equipment is a significant contribution in reducing greenhouse gases.

The Canadian Government’s One Tonne Challenge reports that using a typical gas-powered mower for a year produces as much air pollution as a car driven 550 kilometres. Using a push-power instead of gas-power to mow the lawn, you reduce 12 kg of greenhouse gases per person.
