Hands Across The Sand Protest.

If you are opposed to offshore drilling – then head to your nearest beach on June 26th, 2010  (Saturday) at 11am in your time zone and grab the hand of the person next to you. As you take part in the Hands Across the Sand global protest you will be sending a message to politicians that there is a living wall of opposition to offshore drilling.

“The image is powerful, the message simple,” said event founder Dave Rauschkolb. “No to offshore oil drilling, yes to clean energy. We are drawing a line in the sand against offshore oil drilling along America’s beaches and in solidarity events across America and around the world. No one industry should be able to place entire coastal economies and marine environments at risk with dangerous, dirty mistakes.”

Dave Rauschkolb founded Hands Across The Sand in October of 2009. On February 13, 2010 he organized an enormous Florida-wide gathering with thousands of residents joining hands against the dangers of offshore drilling.

The June 26th Hands Across The Sand demonstration will be the largest global protest against offshore drilling in world history.
