UK-based eco designer and artist Michelle Brand created this amazing dress in honor of the recent wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William – made entirely from plastic bottles.

Titled Green With Envy and commissioned by Manchester’s Arndale shopping centre, the amazing wedding gown took three months to make and used 1,110 bottle bases, 6,512 bottle tops and 9,440 tags. Weighing in at 10kgs (22lbs), the dress was created as the centrepiece of Manchester Arndale’s ‘Think Green’ event, designed to encourage people to get more involved in helping the environment.

“‘Green with Envy’ is a celebration, it’s a proposal of opportunity to see mass produced everyday objects differently. It explores how we can make sense of the green issue of sustainability - what does it mean to people on the street,” explains the artist. “There’s a lot of talk but here we seek to put in place something sustainable by showing the unseen beauty of everyday mass produced objects, giving them an up-cycled second use.”
