Australian duo Daniel Rawson and Jasmine Wallace believe you can make an impact with each step you take in their funky sustainable footwear – Mola Shoes from the non-profit The Aware Network.
Their fun, handmade, vegetarian eco-shoes are the result of an ethical collaboration between indigenous South American Indian artists, a family-owned Fair Trade shoe company and the young enterprising couple.
To create the one of a kind shoes, intricately layered textile art, called Mola, is re-used to create the handmade shoes. Molas are original works of art created by the women of the Kuna tribe of Panama and Colombia and used in traditional blouses.
Mola Shoes come in a variety of sizes and shapes – the hi-top sneakers, boxer bots, ballet shoes, mary janes, open cut flats and high boots. Each pair of shoes is unique.
