“Fashion is one of the most wasteful industries with styles changing every season,” explains South of her choice to only use recycled leather. “The jackets are durable, have nice details I can use in my bags and they are plentiful.”
Using recycled leather to construct the handbags guarantees the bags will be unique, soft and have a natural distressed look.
“I've had multiple customers bring jackets (that are either out of style or don't fit them) that once belonged to family members. They have no use for the jacket, but it has a strong emotional/sentimental value,” explains South.
