Take your commitment to the environment the next step by wearing living flowers and plants in your shoes. These elegant Living Shoes by Tuscany-based artist Carmel Walsh incorporate natural elements into their stunning design.
Using a range of succulent plants, the artist creates her shoes with a local sourced walnut-wood base and incorporates elements of vegetable-tanned leather, organic cotton, hemp, and bamboo.
“Fun ideas spring to mind with my collection, changing the seeds instead of shoes with the passing seasons. It is my hope that in their second life they will decay and grow as an art piece,” explains the artist of her work in an interview with Yatzer.
