The Chic Peak Jacket, created as part of a forty-eight hour design charrette by industrial-design students at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, signals to people using public transit that the jacket wearer is ill and needs to be given adequate space.

Similar to the white masks popular in many Asian countries, the Chic Peak Jacket sends a clear signal not to invade personal body space. Amongst all the Swine Flu hysteria, the 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottle jacket is an effective way to limit the spread of H1N1 in a low-impact, sustainable and stylish manner.
