Designer Robert Ortega’s stunning Green Screen design is a face mask made of living plants and seeds that filters airborne bacteria while sequestering carbon dioxide.
The moisture created from inhaling and exhaling, coupled with the CO2, germinates the tiny seeds embedded in the Green Screen mask. The Green Screen design was a finalist in Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture’s Project Greenway competition.
