To raise awareness about the plastic bottle boat – the Plastiki – built by David de Rothschild and his crew, the team has recently released the Plastiki Build Me toy model kit. The miniature replica of the original Plastiki is a model-making kit for kids made of cardboard with vegetable inks. The flat packed kit makes a great Christmas gift for the eco-minded on your shopping list.
“The model is made from FSC approved card and printed locally using sustainable vegetable inks. Every stage of the manufacturing process was designed to produce minimal waste and efficient use of energy,” explain the Plastiki team of their design.
