Mexican designer Ariel Rojo combines a piggy bank with an energy efficient lightbulb tail to create the sweet and whimsical Cerdo Ahorrador (Piggy Energy Bank).
“Piggy Energy Bank is not just a lamp, it is a message inspired by our ecological awareness and our interest in taking the steps to avoid the world energy crisis,” explains the artist’s website about the design.
The two unrelated elements – the bank and light – work together to send a subtle message about the need to increase awareness of energy savings.
