“I am the Lorax, I speak for the trees for the trees have no tongues ,” wrote Dr. Seuss, aka Theodor Seuss Geisel. The world-renowned rhyming author wrote numerous memorable children’s books.
However, it is The Lorax which most resonated with a generation of environmentalists. The Lorax, published in 1971, tells the tale of the Lorax (a strange mossy creature) that speaks for the trees against the greedy, environment destroying Once-ler.
The Lorax has long been considered a cautionary tale of what may come to pass if logging and other earth related destruction are allowed to continue unchecked.
Today’s is Dr. Seuss birthday.

For a book that changed the way we look at things & Thneeds vs. resources. You changed my life. I'm paying it forward with my kids and others. Looking forward to see what the next generations will do, especially when they see the animated movie that's planned. Oh, the places they'll go and the things they'll do... because of YOU! Bless you.
